The document delivery service enables NHS Grampian Library members to obtain books, journal articles, reports etc. that are not held in the Library.
We participate in the SHINE (Scottish Health Information Network), Grampian Information and PLCS (Psychiatric Libraries Co-operative Scheme) interlibrary lending schemes, and have access to other libraries, including British Library, National Library of Scotland and BMA Library.
A request for a journal article or book is considered to be an 'Interlibrary Loan Request' when the Library has to order the item from another library within the United Kingdom. A similar journal article or book request is considered to be an 'Interbranch Request' when the item is available from other NHS Grampian library sites e.g. Woodend Hospital Library, Dr Grays Hospital, Summerfield House and Cornhill Library. Interbranch requests can also be made online via Shelcat or alternatively via your local NHSG library.
